An independent French pharmaceutical laboratory, Brothier is nowadays recognized for its expertise in haemostasis and tissue repair.
Benefiting from the great potential of plant-based biopolymers, Brothier develops and produces calcium alginate dressings to meet the patients’ and practitioners’ needs.
Brothier’s products are commercialized across the world under the following brand names: Algosteril®, Algoderm®, Trionic®, Coalgan®, Stop Hemo® , NasalCEASE®… Our products have been tested in many clinical studies, which prove their effectiveness.
Brothier has also invested in the development of implantable and absorbable biopolymers. Today, with FOREseal®, we offer an innovative solution to the problem of aerostasis in lung surgery.
Laboratoires Brothier have also developed a family medication range for the treatment of nausea, vomiting, cough, constipation and daily wounds.

Research & Development
Strong of its expertise and know-how in haemostasis and tissue repair, Brothier conducts several Research & Development Programs in cooperation with the International Scientific Community.
One of the research topics in which Brothier is actively involved is the use of “Intelligent Biomaterials” in the field of haemostasis and tissue repair.
Overall, Brothier invests over 12% of its yearly turnover in R&D.
As a market leader, Brothier promotes the scientific exchanges and the multi-disciplinary cooperation between hospitals and practitioners. These interactions contribute to the development of medical awareness and improved patient care.
Lastly, with its R&D and Innovation Programs, Brothier actively participates in improving the Health Security Policies in France working alongside the authorities.
